Polly Walker stars as Sister Clarice Willow on Syfy's "Caprica." She also starred as Ellis Samuels on CBS's short-lived drama series "Cane."

Polly Walker is an actress who has captivated audiences in the U.S. and abroad with her nuanced performances. Born in Warrington, Cheshire, England, Walker began her career as a dancer, but at 18 turned her attention to acting, eventually moving from the Drama Centre in London to the Royal Shakespeare Company.

"Rome" earned plaudits. Her portrayal of the villainous "Atia of the Julii" garnered her a nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series at the 2006 Golden Globe Awards, as well as a Saturn Award nomination. The critically acclaimed series chronicling the rise and fall of ancient Rome also starred Kevin McKidd, Ray Stevenson, Kerry Condon, and James Purefoy.

Walker's other varied television credits include the BBC's "Waking the Dead" and the television movies "Lorna Doone" (as the title character), "A Dangerous Man: Lawrence Of Arabia" with Ralph Fiennes, and "Jeffrey Archer: The Truth" opposite Damian Lewis. She turned heads again in the hugely acclaimed 2003 BBC miniseries "State of Play," opposite Bill Nighy and David Morrissey, which will be adapted into a feature film by Universal Pictures.

Most recently, Walker starred on CBS's "Cane" opposite Jimmy Smits and Hector Elizondo. The series centered on the external rivalries and internal power struggles of a large Cuban-American family running an immensely successful rum and sugar business in South Florida.

On film, Walker first garnered international attention as a single-minded English member of an Irish terrorist group in Phillip Noyce's "Patriot Games" opposite Harrison Ford. She has also impressed audiences in Peter Greenaway's "8 1/2 Women," Michael Hoffman's "Restoration" with Robert Downey Jr. and Sam Neill, and Mike Newell's "Enchanted April." Polly Walker's other film credits include "Control," "Savage Messiah," "Curtain Call," "After Alice," "Dark Harbor," "Talk of Angels," "The Gambler," "Robinson Crusoe," "Emma," "Sliver," and "The Trial."

Walker lives in Los Angeles with her family.
