RaeLynn from "The Voice" is one of the contestants in Season 2 of the NBC reality singing competition series. She is a 17-year-old country singer from Baytown, Texas. She is on Blake Shelton's team.
RaeLynn ("The Voice") sang "Hell on Heels" by Miranda Lambert for her audition. It was a risky move, considering that Lambert is Shelton's wife, but it paid off. Both he and Adam Levine turned their chairs around, and RaeLynn chose Shelton, of course, to be her mentor.
RaeLynn is a Dolly Parton-loving, horse-riding, "Legally Blonde"-watching country pop artist who graduated high school two years early in order to pursue her dreams in Los Angeles. Growing up on a farm feels like a world away from her current life in Los Angeles, but with the help of a very supportive family and a coach like Blake, she is excited for the opportunity "The Voice" brings.
She says, "I grew up in a very musical family. My mother, aunt and uncle and all of us kids (8 all together!) traveled most of our lives singing in churches! I was in every Easter, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas program you could think of. When I was about 9, my two cousins Leeland and Jack and my brother Jake put a band together. I was at all their practices and now they're a Grammy-nominated band called Leeland. Boy, did they inspire me at such a young age to follow my dreams!"
