Raul Osorio from "Project Runway" is one of the contestants in Season 10 of the Lifetime reality fashion design competition series. He is a 27-year-old designer who grew up in both Canoga Park, California, and Honduras, and is currently living in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Raul Osorio ("Project Runway") first realized he had potential as a designer when he started making his own clothes in 2007. The first garment he ever made was a vest that he says was nothing special. He learned from his mother and attended Minneapolis Community and Technical College for a while.
Osorio says he design strengths are being good at construction and pattern-making, as well as having an executive taste. He likes to make statements. "Anything that is powerful. Army, romance, Victorian," he says. While he's designing, he likes listening to Robyn, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash and Beyoncé.
Osorio considers a pair of perfect ankle boots to be a fashion must, as well as hats and a leather jacket. He though doesn't care for busy T-shirts or socks with sandals. His favorite designers are Alexander McQueen and Karl Lagerfeld, and his super model muse is Naomi Campbell.
