Reed Grimm from "American Idol 2012" is rumored to be one of the top 24 contestants in Season 11 of the FOX reality singing competition. He sang the theme song to the comedy series "Family Matters" for his audition in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. All three judges voted yes to send him to Hollywood. This year marked the fifth time that he auditioned for the show. His cousin is Caleb Hawley, who received a golden ticket to Hollywood in 2011.

His mother, Colleen Raye, is a longtime musician who tours regularly. His late father was a member of the New Christy Minstrels folk group. Grimm studied music and philosophy at UW-La Crosse.Grimm currently earns his living as a nanny.
