Rhys Darby stars in "How to Be a Gentleman" on CBS as Mike.

Rhys Darby gained attention in the United States as Murray in HBO's "Flight of the Conchords." He first appeared in the same role on the BBC Radio Show of the same name.

Darby is a comedian and actor from New Zealand who has never strayed far from his standup roots. His stand-up act is quite unique. He combines storytelling with physical theater as he morphs in and out to create not only characters but objects, whilst all the while

providing the sound effects to go with it. It is of some note that before entering the arts, Rhys was a soldier in the New Zealand army (yes, they have an army) and he is also a keen dancer. He once performed in his sister's dance troupe which toured schools of Australia with the dance version of "Lord of the Rings." He has also appeared in both the Edinburgh Fringe and the Montreal "Just for Laughs" festivals.

Darby made his feature film debut in "Yes Man," and later starred in "Lovebirds" and as one of the DJ's in "Pirate Radio." He can also be seen in the romantic comedy, "Coming and Going."

Darby notes that the release of his standup DVD, "Rhys Darby: Imagine That!" is one of his proudest achievements. He also recently completed production on his new show, "It's Rhys Darby Night," which will be released later this year.

Darby spends his time off at home in New Zealand with his wife and two young sons.
