Robert Glenister stars in Starz' miniseries "Close to the Enemy."

British actor Robert Glenister is perhaps best known for appearing in every episode of BBC's drama series about benevolent conmen, "Hustle," as Ash Morgan. He is also the narrator for the crime drama "Law & Order: UK." Other television credits in the UK include regular roles in BBC's comedy "Sink or Swim" and ITV's "Jane Hall," and recurring roles in the comedy "The Cafe," the spy drama "MI-5," the crime drama "A Touch of Frost," the war drama "Soldier Soldier," the mystery drama "Chancer," and the sci-fi adventure "Doctor Who." He also appeared in "Vera," "The Great Train Robbery," "Miss Marple," "We'll Take Manhattan," "Appropriate Adult," "Moving On," "Inspector George Gently," "Warriors: Spartacus," "Ruby in the Smoke," "Legless," "Class of 76," "The Real Prince Regent," "Eroica," "Between the Sheets," "Origins of Evil," "Roger Roger" and "Heartbeat."

On the big screen, Glensiter was seen in "Cryptic," "Creation," "Laissez Passer," "Just Visiting," "All Forgotten," "Persuasion," "The Secret Rapture" and "Quadrophenia."

Onstage Glensiter performed at the National Theatre in numerous productions, including "Great Britain," "Never So Good," "Blue Remembered Hills," "Ting Tang Mine," "Fathers and Sons" and "Brighton Beach Memoirs." For the Royal Shakespeare Company, he had roles in
"Measure for Measure," "The Tempest," "Little Eyolf" and "The Spanish Tragedy." In London's West End, he was seen in "Noises Off," "The Duchess of Malfi" and "Tango at the End of Winter." Other theater credits include "The Late Middle Classes," "Hedda Gabler," "Wrecks," "The Winterling," "Uncle Vanya," "According to Hoyle," "In the Heart of America," "Hamlet," "A Long Day's Journey into Night," "A Midsummer Night's Dream," "An Ideal Husband," "The Idiot" and "The Voysey Inheritance."

Robert is the son of director John Glenister and brother of actor Philip Glenister.
