Robert in "Pit Bulls & Parolees"
Robert Pit Bulls & Parolees
Robert from "Pit Bulls & Parolees" stars in the Animal Planet reality docu-series.

Robert ("Pit Bulls & Parolees") had been out of prison for six months by the time he found his way to the Villalobos Rescue Center. He had friends working at the ranch, but Robert felt confused and unsure of which direction to go when he got out. And his first priority was to reconnect with his children, who no longer recognized him by the end of his six-year sentence.

Although Robert has been in and out of gangs
for most of his life, his most recent prison term stemmed from a domestic dispute. And even though he sounds rough around the edges, Robert really is all about family. He was always closest with his mom, who was his biggest fan. In addition to his own kids, Robert has even legally adopted other youngsters who need guidance or a place to stay.

While locked up, Robert became something of a tattoo artist, which he'd eventually like to turn into a full-time career. For now, he likes working at Villalobos and sees it as a way of staying out of trouble. Robert enjoys working with the dogs and has had three pit bulls of his own. He sees Tia as a mentor and respects that she is his boss, not his friend or his mother.

Now it's up to Robert to prove himself to his family again, maybe for the last time. If he goes back to jail, his relationship with his kids will be irreparable. This is his last chance at being a father to his kids and living up to his responsibilities at the ranch. He owes this to his family, Tia, the other parolees and even the dogs — but most of all, he owes it to himself. They're counting on him to get it together once and for all.
