Roxana Ortega stars in "Cristela" on ABC as Daniela.

A California native of Mexican and Peruvian descent, Roxana Ortega trained at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco and is an alumnus of the prestigious Groundlings Sunday Company where she honed her writing and comedy skills performing with some of the funniest people on the planet. 

Her credits include supporting roles in the feature films "Larry Crowne," starring Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts, "Evan Almighty," starring Steve Carell and Morgan Freeman, and "Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous," starring Sandra Bullock.

On television, Ortega has been seen in episodes of "The League," "Rules of Engagement," "New Girl," "Hart of Dixie," "Franklin & Bash," "Undercovers," "Samantha Who?," "The Young and the Restless," "The Shield," "Crossing Jordan" and "All of Us."

Ortega has lent her voice to countless characters in films, video games, and commercials in both Spanish and English. She also narrated the Pulitzer Prize winning book "A Visit from the Goon Squad." She has appeared in dozens of national commercials and performed theater on stages in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York.

Roxie is a graduate of University of California, Berkeley.
