Roz Ryan stars in TV One's comedy "The Roz Ryan Show" as Aunt Sylvia, who lives with the Smileys and tries to keep the household in order.

Roz Ryan has entertained and delighted audiences for more than thirty years as an actress, singer, recording artist, nightclub, and concert performer.

Ryan's Broadway credits include the roles of Effie White in "Dreamgirls," Nell Carter in "Ain't Misbehavin," Matron Mama Morton in "Chicago the Musical," Bertha in "One Mo' Time," and The Ghost of Christmas

Present in Madison Square Garden's "A Christmas Carol." Additional theater credits include the role of Bloody Mary in the musical "South Pacific" in Thailand, Australia and China; "Blues in the Night," for which she was awarded both the Carbonell and Zoni Award for Best Actress in a Musical; "The Old Settler"; "Seven Guitars"; "Cole Porter Request the Pleasure," for which she received the Carbonell Award for Best Supporting Actress; and the 2011 production of "Saving Aimee" at Seattle 5th St. Theatre where she won the 2012 Broadway World Seattle Theatre Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Most recently she launched the new production of "All That Glitters," a musical based on the life of Liberace.

Ryan's television credits include the NBC sitcom "Amen," as Amelia Heterbrink, "Good News" as Mrs. Dixon, The WB's "All About The Andersons" as Flo Anderson, "JAG," "Half and Half," Showtime's series "Barbershop" as Mae Palmer, ABC's "Hercules" cartoon series,and BET's" Let's Stay Together."

Film work includes Francis Ford Coppola's "The Cotton Club," "Nikita Blues," which she also produced with Marc Cayce, "Waiting for Forever," "The Invention of Lying," "I Think I Love My Wife" and "Whatever Lola Wants." Voice over work includes Disney's animated feature "Hercules," as the voice of Thalia, Cartoon Network's "The Marvelous Misadventures of FlapJack" as Bubbie the Blue Beluga Whale, Disney XD's "Kick Buttowski" as Ms. Fitzpatrick, "Scooby Doo," as Gorgeous Gee, "Adventure Time," as Cake the Cat, and The WB's new "Looney Tunes Show" as Witch Lezah.
