Ryan O'Neal stars in "Ryan & Tatum: The O'Neals," a reality docu-series on OWN about his relationship with his daughter, Tatum O'Neal. He also plays the recurring role of Max Keenan in FOX's "Bones."

Born in Los Angeles, Ryan O'Neal skyrocketed to stardom on the primetime TV soap opera "Peyton Place" in 1964. He was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for his role opposite Ali McGraw in the box office hit "Love Story," and proved a great comic foil to Barbra Streisand in "What's Up," "Doc?" In 1973, he co-starred with his daughter Tatum in "Paper Moon," which resulted in an Oscar for his spunky child.

Stanley Kubrick cast him in his 1975 period piece, "Barry Lyndon," which was followed by a group of light comedies including "So Fine," "Irreconcilable Differences" and "Chances Are." In 1979 O'Neal teamed up with Streisand again in "The Main Event."

In 1987, O'Neal was directed by Norman Mailer in "Tough Guys Don't Dance" and returned to television in 1991 in "Good Sports" opposite then-wife, Farrah Fawcett. His film credits also include "A Bridge Too Far," "Nickelodeon," "Oliver's Story," Paul Mazursky's "Faithful," Jake Kasdan's "Zero Effect," James Burrows "Partners," Arthur Hiller's "Burn Hollywood Burn" and "Malibu's Most Wanted" Directed by John Whitsell with Jamie Kennedy, Blair Underwood and Taye Diggs.

On television, O'Neal starred opposite Alicia Silverstone in NBC's drama "Miss Match" and more recently recurred as Teddy Montgomery's (Trevor Donovan) father in The CW's "90210."
