Sam Richardson stars in "Detroiters" on Comedy Central as Sam Duvet.

On television, Sam Richardson is best known for playing Richard Splett on HBO's Emmy Award-winning comedy series "Veep." He also had a recurring role in NBC's "The Office" and made guest appearances in Comedy Central's "Drunk History" and Netflix's recent revival of "Arrested Development."

On the big screen, Richardson can be seen in a number of comedies, including "Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates," starring Anna Kendrick, Zac Efron and Aubrey Plaza, "Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising," starring Zac Efron and Seth Rogen, and "The House." Richardson also has a cameo in Paul Feig's remake of "Ghostbusters," starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy and Chris Hemsworth, and has appeared in "Horrible Bosses 2," alongside Jason Bateman and Jason Sudeikis, Paul Feig's "Spy," starring Melissa McCarthy, Rose Byrne and Jude Law, and "We're the Millers," opposite Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Aniston and Emma Roberts.

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Richardson is an alumnus of the Second City Chicago Mainstage, where he wrote and performed in two original revues: "Spoiler Alert Everybody Dies" and "Southside of Heaven," for both of which he was nominated for Joseph Jefferson Awards for Best Actor in a Revue. He later performed in the 2012 Just for Laughs Montreal Fresh Faces of Characters showcase.
