Sarah Finnegan is a gymnast competing at the 2012 London Summer Olympics for the USA. She is the 2011 U.S. junior all-around bronze medalist.

Sarah Finnegan is an alternate for the U.S. women's gymnastics team. In her first year senior, she finished sixth at the Olympic Trials. Finnegan's best events are beam and floor.

She is age eligible for the 2012 London Olympic Games by less than 50 days. She was born November 14, 1996 — athletes must be 16 years old by December 31, 1996 to compete in London.

Finnegan made her senior international debut at the City of Jesolo Trophy in March 2012. The U.S. Team won gold and Finnegan finished third in the all-around behind her teammates Kyla Ross and Aly Raisman.

As a junior, she represented the United States at the 2010 Pan-American Championships in Guadalajara, Mexico where she was part of the U.S. Team that claimed gold. Her teammates included Gabby Dougals, Sabrina Vega, and McKayla Maroney — three members of the U.S. team that won the 2011 world title. At Pan-Ams, Finnegan also won an individual bronze medal on balance beam.

Finnegan began gymnastics as a recreational activity and stuck with it because she liked it more than all the other sports she tried. She began training at GAGE under Al Fong and Armine Barutyan-Fong in 2008. Finnegan has three sisters who are all involved in gymnastics, too.
