Sarah Shahi hails from Dallas, Texas. As a member of the prestigious Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, she once graced the cover of the infamous Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Calendar and embarked on a USO tour that took her to Bosnia, Macedonia, Kosovo and Italy to entertain American troops.
Shahi is best known for her role on Showtime's critically acclaimed series "The L Word," where she played Carmen, a bilingual production assistant who spent her evenings as a deejay. She also starred as Dani Reese, Charlie Crews' (Damian Lewis) skeptical, demanding partner in the NBC series "Life." In the independent film "Shades of Ray" for director Jaffar Mahmood, Shahi plays the love interest to American-born Ray, who struggles with his multi-cultural identity when finding love. She also starred opposite Lucy Liu and Michael C. Hall in the independent film "East Fifth Bliss."
