Scott Durbin on "Imagination Movers"
Scott Durbin Imagination Movers
Scott Durbin stars on Disney Channel's "Imagination Movers."

An award-winning elementary school teacher, Scott Durbin first dreamed up the idea for "Imagination Movers" in 2003. Scott Durbin's regular appearances on local public television sparked his interest in creating a kids show about four blue-collar brainstormers working together in an Idea Warehouse. Inspired by Mr. Rogers and Captain Kangaroo, Scott Durbin's goal is to bring strong male role models to children's programming. Scott Durbin
is also the former lead singer of the rock band Clones at Play. In the fictional world of the Movers' Warehouse, Scott Durbin is the visionary of the group who wears special "Wobble Goggles" that allow him to see things from all kinds of interesting perspectives.

The son of a military chaplain, Scott Durbin grew up all over the world, including Thailand, Washington, D.C. and San Antonio, before his family settled in New Orleans when he was in second grade. Scott Durbin continued to travel throughout high school and college, studying abroad in both Japan and Denmark. The mandolin playing Scott Durbin credits these adventures with giving him the ability to see things from a variety of perspectives, a trait he brings to the series through his characteristic "Wobble Goggles."

Prior to the Movers, Scott Durbin was an award-winning teacher, earning the New Teacher of the Year award from Isidore Newman School and a Teacher of the Year award from the St. Charles Parish public school district. Scott Durbin received an undergraduate degree in religious studies from Centenary College of Louisiana, and a graduate teaching certificate from the University of New Orleans. Scott Durbin's interest in music stems from his childhood and the time he spent as the front man for various alternative bands throughout the 80's and 90's.

Scott Durbin is married with two wonderful kids.
