"Scream 4" is the fourth installment of the wildly popular horror series.

The "Scream" films are well known for their combination of clever satire and genuine scares. The sequel brings back all the major cast members from the original trilogy, as well as director Wes Craven and screenwriter Kevin Williamson.

In "Scream 4," Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. While there, she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey (David Arquette) and Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox), who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill (played by Emma Roberts) and her Aunt Kate (Mary McDonnell). Unfortunately Sidney's appearance also brings about the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends, and the whole town of Woodsboro in extreme danger.

The "Scream" legacy is undeniable. The films smartly skewered their genre, launched the careers of many young actors, and redefined horror for a new generation of moviegoers. In an era of reboots and remakes, "Scream 4" honors its rabid fans with a sequel as sharp and irreverent as the original.

The newest installment in the acclaimed franchise is written by series creator Kevin Williamson and directed by suspense master and director of the first trilogy, Wes Craven. The film stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin, Anthony Anderson, Adam Brody, Mary McDonnell, Marley Shelton, Nico Tortorella, Marielle Jaffe, Kristen Bell, Anna Paquin, Lucy Hale, Shenae Grimes, Aimee Teegarden and Brittany Robertson.
