are enormous alligators, ill-tempered swap rats and deadly snakes that are almost as big as Shelby. The damage to Shelby's body over the years is a testament to the job's dangers—appendages almost lost to alligator attacks, eyes gouged out head injuries and chronic intestinal pain.
