Sherri Shepherd is one of the co-hosts of ABC's talk show, "The View." An actress and comedienne as well, she also continues to reprise her hysterical role as Angie Jordan, wife to Tracey Morgan's character on the Emmy-winning "30 Rock."
In addition, she is one of the celebrity contestants on Season 14 of ABC's ballroom competition series "Dancing with the Stars" in spring 2012. She teams with Val Chmerkovskiy, who is returning for his second season as a professional partner.

Shepherd's humorous autobiography, "Permission Slips: Every Woman's Guide to Giving Yourself a Break," was released by Grand Central Publishing in October 2009. She also had a successful run in the critically acclaimed, off-Broadway hit "Love, Loss and What I Wore."

She was encouraged by friends to put together her own stand-up act after seeing Andrew Dice Clay perform. Her love of performing was instantaneous. Success, however, was not… For five years she toiled as a secretary by day and performed stand-up at night. She finally got her first real break in the comedy "Cleghorne!"

Sherri is a celebrity spokesperson for March of Dimes and helped it kick off the 2010 "March for Babies" by ringing the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange. She is also the national spokesperson for the YAI National Institute.
She has a six-year-old son Jeffrey and recently married Lamar Sally. Their wedding was captured by The Style Network and "Wedding Fabulous: Sherri Shepherd Gets Married" garnered the highest ratings for a wedding special on the network. They reside in New York City.
