Sian Proctor from "The Colony" is one of the survivors in Season 2 of the Discovery Channel reality series. Sian ("The Colony 2") is a 40-year-old geological disaster teacher. She currently lives in Fairport, New York, but is originally from Phoenix, Arizona. She has a BS degree from Edinboro University, and a MS & PhD from Arizona State University. She is SCUBA certified.
Born on the island of Guam to a NASA engineer, Sian Proctor dreamed of flying military jets and becoming an astronaut. Her dreams were crushed at the age of 15 when she was prescribed glasses for her near-sightedness. Yet, her persistence didn't let that stop her and she eventually got her pilot's license. An avid lover of math and science, Sian became a professor of geology at South Mountain Community College. As former captain of the Arizona State University's women's ice hockey team, she is no stranger to leading a team and making decisions.
