Sonequa Martin-Green stars in "The Walking Dead" on AMC as Sasha.

Sonequa Martin-Green is an up-and-coming actress who has had recurring roles as Tamara in ABC's fantasy drama "Once Upon a Time," as Courtney Wells in CBS's legal drama "The Good Wife," as Michelle Terry in CBS's police drama "NYC 22," and as Kanessa Jones in Lifetime's military-base drama "Army Wives." She also appeared in HBO's original movie "Da Brick," directed by Spike Lee, and guest starred in episodes of "Gossip Girl" and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent."

Martin-Green has also been seen in several independent films, including "Yelling to the Sky," which was a Golden Bear nominee at the 2011 Berlin Film Festival and an Official Selection of the SXSW and Deauville American Film Festivals, "River Wash Over Me," which won the Grand Jury Award at L.A. Outfest in 2009, and "Toe to Toe," which was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival in 2009.

Martin-Green graduated from the University of Alabama's Department of Theatre and Dance in 2007.
