Stephen Root stars in "Everything Must Go," opposite Will Ferrell. Root was also recently seen in Robert Redford's "The Conspirator," alongside James McAvoy, Robin Wright, Kevin Kline and Evan Rachel Wood, as John Lloyd.

Stephen Root entertains television and film audiences and is one of today's most prolific character actors. He plays Gus Lacey in the film "The Men Who Stare at Goats" with George Clooney, and he is also featured in "The Soloist" with Robert Downey Jr. and Jamie Foxx. Root has the lead role of Charlie Thompson in the film "Unthinkable" with Samuel Jackson.

He had a recurring role on ABC's "Pushing Daisies" as Dwight Dixon, an old friend of Ned's long-gone dad who suddenly resurfaced. He guested on HBO's "True Blood" in the role of Eddie Gautier, a lonely vampire from suburban Shreveport.

Root's films released in 2007 and 2008 include: the award winning film "No Country for Old Men," his third film for the Coen Brothers and "Mad Money" with Queen Latifah. Root starred as the eccentric station owner, Jimmy James, on NBC's "News Radio" for five seasons, CBS's "Ladies Man" with Alfred Molina and "Harts of the West" with Beau and Lloyd Bridges. He had a recurring role on the last two seasons of "West Wing" and guested on "Grounded for Life," "Civil Wars," and "L.A. Law." He co-starred in the award-winning HBO series "From The Earth To The Moon."

Mike Judge, creator of the Emmy winning hit animated series "King of the Hill," cast Root as the voice of Bill, Hank Hill's next-door neighbor. He also voices Chode in "Tripping the Rift," SyFy Channel's first animated series. This edgy half-hour CGI series is based on the award-winning short film of the same name. Animated features include the voice of Bubbles the fish in the Disney/Pixar hit, "Finding Nemo," 20th Century Fox's "Ice Age," and "Ice Age: The Meltdown" in which he voiced a hilariously menacing Rhino, and Zeb in Walt Disney's feature film "Country Bears." He provided voices for Columbia Tri-Star's "The Big Guy and Rusty the Robot," as Donovan and Disney's "Star Command" as Sheriff.

Numerous feature credits include: "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story," "Anchorman," "Surviving Christmas," "Raising Genius," "Bicentennial Man," "Krippendorf's Tribe," "Bye Bye Love," "Extreme Justice," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Robocop III," "V.I.
