"Strike Back" Season 4 has been ordered and will return in 2014.

"Strike Back" (Cinemax TV show) is a high-octane action series focusing on a charismatic former U.S. Special Forces operative who teams up with a British military unit to stop an international terrorist group.

The timely, fast-paced series mixes suspense, action and drama, spanning the globe from India to South Africa, from England to Chechnya. The team that tracks the terrorists is Section 20, an elite military black ops unit within the British government that focuses on high-risk, top-priority targets. When one of their own is captured and held hostage, the group enlists the help of Damien Scott (Sullivan Stapleton), a former Delta Force operative who is familiar with the terrorists.

Although he has good instincts and skills, his cocky style is often at odds with the more formal team, especially the more by-the-book Sgt. Michael Stonebridge (Philip Winchester). Team leader Col. Eleanor Grant (Amanda Mealing) is a smart, tough military leader who is skilled with a gun and diplomacy, but knows when to break a rule or two.

The "Strike Back" cast includes Sullivan Stapleton ("Animal Kingdom") and Philip Winchester ("Crusoe") star, with Amanda Mealing ("Holby City"), Eva Birthistle ("Silent Witness"), Jimi Mistry ("Blood Diamond"), Rhashan Stone ("Episodes") and Richard Armitage ("The Hobbit").

Season 3

Stealth counterterrorism unit Section 20 pursues a deadly terrorist network from Colombia to Lebanon to Eastern Europe, uncovering deadly plots that threaten the West. The team tracks the elusive terrorist al-Zuhari and his well-financed drug cartel partners as they target European and American interests, both at home and abroad, including Section 20 itself. The Section 20 team is often forced to resort to extraordinary measures to protect the greater good, making some members question their future with the unit.

As in previous seasons, the production utilizes consultants who work in the field of counterterrorism to add to the authenticity of the series, providing essential background on stories, characters, training and settings.

New cast members includes Robson Green ("Wire in the Blood") as a new member of Section 20, Dougray Scott ("Desperate Housewives") as rogue operative James Leatherby and Milauna Jackson ("Blood Done Sign My Name") as a key player who crosses paths with the counterterrorism team.

The "Strike Back" TV show is produced by British Sky Broadcasting Limited and Left Bank Pictures. Executive producers are Andy Harries ("Longford") for Left Bank; Elaine Pyke ("The Runaway") for Sky; co-executive producers are Dan Percival ("Dirty War") and Frank Spotnitz ("The X-Files"). Directors for the series are Dan Percival ("Dirty War"), Alex Holmes (HBO¼s "House of Saddam"), Bill Eagles ("Fringe") and Paul Wilmshurst ("Law & Order: UK"). Writers are Frank Spotnitz, Richard Zadjlic ("EastEnders"), Tony Saint ("Margaret Thatcher: The Long Walk to Finchley") and Simon Burke ("Persuasion"). The show marks the first time HBO/Cinemax has worked with UK broadcaster Sky to produce an original series.
