"Survivor Cambodia: Second Chance" (2015) is back on CBS for Season 31 with Jeff Probst as host. In a series first, fans of the popular reality series chose the 20 castaways who will compete in this season. Fans cast their votes over a two-week period in spring 2015 and the castaways who received the most now comprise the cast.

The newly announced contestants, 10 male and 10 female, immediately boarded a bus following the Season 30 reunion show and began their journey to Cambodia, where the next season will film for 39 days. The original pool of 32 former players, ranging from Season 1 to Season 30, have never won the game and felt they deserved a second chance to compete for the $1 million prize and the title of Sole Survivor.

The female contestants include Kelly Wiglesworth (Season 1, Borneo), Kimmi Kappenberg
(Season 2, The Australian Outback), Peih-Gee Law (Season 15, China), Monica Padilla (Season 19, Samoa), Abi-Maria Gomes (Season 25, Philippines), Ciera Eastin (Season 27, Blood vs. Water), Tasha Fox (Season 28, Cagayan), Kass McQuillen (Season 28, Cagayan), Kelley Wentworth (Season 29, San Juan del Sur), and Shirin Oskooi (Season 30, Worlds Apart).

The male contestants include Jeff Varner (Season 2, The Australian Outback), Andrew Savage (Season 7, Pearl Islands), Terry Deitz (Season 12, Panama), Stephen Fishbach (Season 18, Tocantins), Vytas Baskauskas (Season 27, Blood vs. Water), Woo Hwang (Season 28, Cagayan), Spencer Bledsoe (Season 28, Cagayan), Jeremy Collins (Season 29, San Juan del Sur), Keith Nale (Season 29, San Juan del Sur), and Joe Anglim (Season 30, Worlds Apart).

Soon after "Survivor" premiered on May 31, 2000, it became a cultural phenomenon, and is now the longest running reality-competition program. The innovative game that helped shape the reality genre of television has filmed 459 episodes through the end of this current season, across 17 countries, and has been played by 460 castaways. This upcoming season will mark the first time in the show's 15-year history that fans have decided the entire cast.

I think russel has spoiled the the whole heros/villians season. The only reason I have watched any of survivor since the second show is because my husband still does and there are times I simply can't avoid it. too bad seeing as this is one of the shows my husband and I used to enjoy watching together. By the way, this is the only the only program I have ever commented on
marty says:
Survivor Nicaragua is the worse Survivor I have ever seen. All of the men are geeks, except Jimmy Johnson and the geeks voted him off, stupid, stupid, stupid. Mixon should be eliminated by CBS, because of her mouth, bad, bad, bad person.
