Susan Brown stars in "Game of Thrones" on HBO in the recurring role of as Septa Mordane. A sworn follower of the Faith of the Seven, Septa serves as the nursemaid and guardian for all of the Stark children.

British actress Susan Brown has appeared in film, television and theater. Her feature film credits include "Hope and Glory," "Brideshead Revisited" and "The Iron Lady."

The vast majority of Brown's career has been on British television, and she has numerous credits to her name. Susan Brown recently played recurring roles on "Torchwood," "Waking the Dead" and "Holby City." She has also appeared in "Rooms," "The Other Side," "Making Out," "Stay Lucky," "Lovejoy," "Casualty," "September Song," "Wire in the Blood" and "The Bill," among many others.

In addition, Brown is an accomplished theater actress. One of her most high-profile roles was in David Eldridge's translation of Henrik Ibsen's play, "The Wild Duck," at the world-renowned Donmar Warehouse Theatre in London, England.
