Susan Ward stars as Chloe Kmetko on ABC Family's "Make It or Break It." Chloe is Emily's flamboyant mother. With a flair for the fabulous, Chloe is more friend than mother to Emily and her brother. But even though she may not be your stereotypical mother, Chloe will do anything for her children.
Susan Ward was discovered by a modeling scout, while walking through a New Orleans mall at the age of 13, who offered her the chance to move to New York and work full-time in the fashion industry. After spending a few years in New York and getting a taste of show business and modeling as a Ford Model, she landed a small part on "All My Children," in the role of teenage bad girl Camille. The producers were so taken by her that she was invited to return as a recurring character for the 1994 and 1995 seasons.
Soon after her daytime television start, Ward made the jump to primetime television in 1996 with the role of Bree on Aaron Spelling's teen drama "Malibu Shores." She then returned to the world of soap operas with the role of Meg Cummings on the drama "Sunset Beach." After a successful three-year run on the show (from 1997-1999), she was given the chance to make her big-budget feature film debut in 2000 with the thriller "The In Crowd."
Her role in "The In Crowd," combined with a number of sexy national and international magazine photo covers, helped establish her as a true sex symbol. Ward has graced more than 35 covers from Maxim to Millionaire to FHM and has been featured in over 350 magazines and various entertainment shows.
Ward's television work includes appearances on "Xena Warrior Princes," "Men, Women and Dogs," "Friends," "Boomtown," "CSI: Miami," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Monk," "Women's Murder Club" and a contract role on "Just Legal."
Besides "The In Crowd," her film roles have included "Shallow Hal," "Would I Lie to You?," "Wild Things 2," "Cruel World," "Two for the Money," "Dead and Deader," "Who's Your Caddy?" "Toxic" and "Order of Chaos."
In her spare time, Ward enjoys traveling with her husband, David, and their two dogs, spending time with her longtime friends and entertaining at her home in Los Angeles. She loves to hike, and her favorite charities are with animals, especially dogs and Boxer Rescues.
