"Swamp Pawn" Season 3 on CMT is a reality docu-series that follows Rick Phillips of Phillips Swamp Seafood in Bayou Pigeon, Louisiana. Not your typical pawnshop, Phillips Swamp Seafood buys and sells anything the bayou serves up — including alligators, turtles, bullfrogs, crawfish, and everything in between. Phillips and a colorful cast of neighboring "swampers" make their living fishing, hunting and haggling in this tiny, self-sustaining community deep in the heart of the bayou.

The series features an array of quirky locals who rely on their ability to sell whatever will catch a price. This close-knit community lives off the land, learns to be resourceful when times are lean and depends on each other to get by.

Rick Phillips is the closest thing to a mayor that Bayou Pigeon has, and his business is the town's lifeblood. He's a tough customer, but with his casual country charm and sense of humor, he'll also bend over backward to help a friend or stranger.

Along with Phillips, the series features the mismatched father-and-son team of Coy and Shorty Gomez, two fishermen who spend much of their time arguing, looking for work or hocking anything they can to make a living. They'd make perfect business partners if they weren't so different: Coy is a quiet, reserved and thoughtful backwoods gentleman, while his son, Shorty, is brash and scattershot. When there's trouble in the swamp, the locals call in legendary "Chachie Boy" — the best gator hunter in Bayou Pigeon. The cast also includes dueling husband-and-wife fishing duos Clayton & Joney Daley and Quentin & Jamie Morales, who good-naturedly compete for bragging rights as the best fishers in the bayou.

Season 3

ip to the Gulf of Mexico, heartache over the loss of a dear friend, and all the daily comings and goings of Bayou Pigeon during the craziness of crawfish and alligator season. With several of his reliable buyers heading into retirement, the loveable Rick Phillips is inheriting even more customers — and the first thing on his very long "to do" list is finding a new delivery driver as soon as possible. It's not all business, though, as Rick and his wife, Patty, take a special trip to the Big Apple to celebrate their wedding anniversary. Patty also decides to throw Rick a small surprise birthday party, but word travels quickly in the small town of Bayou Pigeon, and the bash ends up being one of the biggest events of the year.

Husband-and-wife fishing duo Clayton and Joney return this season as well, spending lots of time in the swamp getting up close and personal with crawfish and alligators. During one swamp outing and special crossover episode of "Swamp Pawn" and "Swamp Hunters," Clayton meets the "Swamp Hunters" and later must ask for their assistance when a local fisherman's boat turns over and he needs help recovering his sunken possessions. Clayton also teaches friends and fellow fishermen Austyn and Blake about the art of making crawfish traps, while being the target of their merciless pranks in the process. Meanwhile, fan favorite Coy Gomez reveals to Rick the dismal news that his cancer has returned, and his prognosis isn't promising.

"Swamp Pawn" is produced for CMT by Pilgrim Studios, with Craig Piligian and Scott Popjes executive producing for Pilgrim. Claire McCabe, Joe Livecchi and Jayson Dinsmore serve as executive producers for CMT.
