"The Amazing Race 24" on CBS is an adventure reality series that has won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program nine times. This season 11 all-star teams will embark on a trek around the world for approximately 25 days to win the $1 million dollar prize. Phil Keoghan is the host.

This season, which marks the 24th race around the world for the series, will feature some of the most memorable duos. Eleven all-star teams return for another chance to win "The Amazing Race," but in a dramatic twist one team will not make it to the starting line. The returning teams include fan favorites The Globetrotters, The Cowboys, Dave & Connor, Brendon & Rachel, and more.

Teams will be put to the test as they travel through four continents and nine countries, spanning more than 35,000 miles. The Race will take them on a mission high above the city in Guangzhou, China, rappelling down the roaring rapids of the Kiansom Waterfall in Malaysia, fighting with Gladiators in Rome, Italy and fueling up vehicles in Sri Lanka.

"The Amazing Race 24" all-star contestants include the Afghanimals — cousins Leo Temory & Jamal Zadran; Brenchel — Brendon Villegas & Rachel Reilly; the Country Singers — friends Jennifer Wayne & Caroline Cutbirth; the Cowboys — brothers Cord McCoy & Jet McCoy; father and son cancer survivors David O'Leary & Connor O'Leary; the Globetrotters — friends Herbert "Flight Time" Lang & Nate "Big Easy" Lofton; engaged couple John Erck & Jessica Hoel; mother and son Margie O'Donnell & Luke Adams; twins Natalie Anderson & Nadiya Anderson; best friends Joey Graceffa & Meghan Caramena; and Team Kentucky — friends William "Bopper" Minton & Mark Jackson.

"The Amazing Race" sends 11 teams on a trek around the world. Each Team is comprised of two people who have a pre-existing relationship with one another. At every destination, each Team competes in a series of challenges — some mental and some physical — and when the tasks have been completed, they learn their next destination. Teams who are farthest behind will gradually be eliminated as the contest progresses, with the first team to arrive at the final destination winning at least $1 million.

Jerry Bruckheimer, Bertram van Munster, Jonathan Littman, Elise Doganieri and Mark Vertullo are the executive producers for Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Earthview Inc. in association with ABC Studios and Amazing Race Productions. "The Amazing Race" was created by Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri.

bama21 says:
cowboys played it straight and showed some class...lesbians showed they were bad sports
jean says:
The only team to play an honest game were Jet and Cord. They were polite to people in different countries and didn't try to destroy the cabs when the drivers went the wrong way. The so called winners were truly "Ugly Americans". Such a disappointing finale.
ccfla says:
These guys should have won. They ran the best race like 2 Texas gentlemen, fair. If all their fans gave a buck to ABC for Jet and Coard they would get the million they deserve.

It's been a long time since I've laughed out loud from a tv program, go Amazing Race
