Tom Lennon is a writer and comedian from Oak Park, Illinois. He attended the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where he co-founded the influential sketch comedy group The State. The State's hit eponymous television series ran on MTV for three seasons and received an Ace Award nomination for best comedy series. After his work on "The
Lennon most recently appeared in "A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas," opposite Kal Penn, John Cho and Neil Patrick Harris, and "What's Your Number?" starring Anna Faris, Chris Evans and Joel McHale. His other films include summer 2011's box office hit "Bad Teacher," opposite Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake; "I Love You, Man," with Jason Segel and Paul Rudd; "17 Again," starring Zac Efron and Leslie Mann; "Le Divorce"; and "Memento." Lennon will next appear in "Rapturepalooza," and "What to Expect When You're Expecting."
Lennon and Garant have written many other feature films together which, combined, have earned more than a billion dollars at the box office worldwide, including "Night at the Museum," "Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian," "Taxi," "Balls of Fury and "The Pacifier." They share story credit on the upcoming Vin Diesel starrer "The Machine," on which they also serve as producers, and have several other projects in 19 development. Simon Schuster recently published their book "Writing Movies for Fun & Profit."
They're currently in production on "Hell Baby" which will be released in 2013. "Hell Baby" marks Garant and Lennon's co-directorial debut. In the movie, a young and expectant couple moves into New Orleans' most haunted house and calls upon the Vatican to perform an elite exorcism. Rob Corddry and Leslie Bibb have signed on to star with Lennon and Garant portraying the Vatican exorcists.
Lennon's additional writing credits include the television series "Strangers with Candy," four of IFC's 50 Greatest Comedy Sketches of All Time.
