Tom Cavanagh stars as Conner on TNT's "Trust Me."

Tom Cavanagh is best known to television viewers as the popular star of NBC's critically acclaimed series "Ed," for which he also served as producer. He recently finished playing the starring role in the off-Broadway production of the play "Some Americans Abroad." And he just completed his second year as host of the series "Inside the Vault," in which he takes viewers inside the hidden treasures of the Smithsonian.

In addition to "Trust Me," Tom Cavanagh can currently be seen in two other television series: "Scrubs," in which he plays the slacker brother of Zach Braff's character, and "Eli Stone," which features him in the recurring rule of Mr. Stone. His other television credits include "Love Monkey," which he starred in and produced for CBS; the critically acclaimed "Jack & Bobby;" "Snow;" and the Lifetime movie "The Capture of the Green River Killer," which ranked as the network's highest rated program ever. He also earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for his work in "Bang Bang, You're Dead" for Showtime.

On the big screen, Tom Cavanagh co-stars in the recently released, critically acclaimed comedy-drama "Breakfast with Scot." He has also starred in "Sublime," "Two Weeks," "How to Eat Fried Worms" and "Gray Matters," as well as the film festival favorites "Alchemy" and "Heart of the Storm."

Tom Cavanagh's stage credits include a starring in the hit Broadway musical "Urinetown." He also co-starred in the Broadway revival "Shenandoah" and has appeared in such stage productions as "Grease," in which he played the role of Danny; "A Chorus Line;" "Cabaret;" and "Brighton Beach Memoirs."

In addition to acting, Tom Cavanagh is an accomplished director, having helmed several episodes of "Ed" and a recent film about playground basketball in New York City.

A native of Ottawa, Canada, Tom Cavanagh enjoyed a unique childhood that included living for a time in a small village in Ghana, where his father set up and education program to train local teachers. He later attended Queens College in Ontario, where he pursued his growing interest in theatre and music and became a top-notch athlete, playing varsity hockey and basketball.
