Tony Dovolani from "Dancing with the Stars," whose real name is Driton Dovolani, is one of the professional dancers featured in the ABC reality ballroom dance competition. The one-time champ is teamed up with country singer Wynonna Judd for Season 16.
In Season 2, Dovolani was partnered with WWE wrestler Stacy Keibler and came in 3rd place. In Season 3, he was paired with country music star Sara Evans who withdrew midway through the competition because of her divorce proceedings. In Season 4, he was partnered with talk show host Leeza Gibbons and came in 9th place. In Season 5, he was paired with actress Jane Seymour and finished in 6th place. In Season 6, Dovolani was paired with Broadway actress Marissa Jaret Winokur and reached the final four.
In Season 7, he was partnered with Susan Lucci and finished in 6th place. For Season 8, he was originally paired with Nancy O'Dell, but when she tore her meniscus during pre-season practice, Melissa Rycroft took her place as his partner. They made it all the way to the finals, finishing in 3rd place. In Season 9, Tony was teamed up with model Kathy Ireland and came in 14th place. The following season, he and reality star Kate Gosselin fared a little bit better, lasting until the fourth week. In Season 11, he and Audrina Patridge were voted off in the 6th week. For Season 12, he and talk show host Wendy Williams were eliminated in the 3rd week, while he and pop singer Chynna Phillips lasted just one week longer the following season. That was still better than when he and tennis player Martina Navratilova were the very first pair to get the boot in Season 14. The following season, he and reality television star Melissa Rycroft were crowned the champions.
Born in Kosovo, Tony Dovolani began folk dancing at age three. When he was 14, his entire family moved to the United States and Tony got the opportunity to attend a Fred Astaire Dance Academy. From that moment on, he knew he had found his passion.
Since that time, Dovolani has traveled the world and won many championships. He also had a featured role in the hit film "Shall We Dance" and spent time coaching Jennifer Lopez.
