Tony Rich is making his film debut in "X-Men: First Class," as Thomas. It is a small role, but one that has garnered a great deal of anticipation from fans.

While the details of Rich's role are still being kept under wraps, it has been revealed that he is playing an 18-year-old mutant rights activist, mentally mature beyond his years, with the ability to duplicate other mutant powers within a specific range. Many fans have predicted that he is playing the young version of Everett Thomas, a character from the comics who uses the code-name "Synch" as a reference to his ability to become "in-synch" with any nearby superhuman power.
