Tuffy Stone from "BBQ Pitmasters" is one of the judges on the Destination America reality competition series. He was formerly one of the pitmasters featured in Season 1. He owns Q Barbecue and A Sharper Palate in Richmond, Virginia.

Tuffy Stone's team name is Cool Smoke. He calls his style of pit Jambo Pit or Offset Style Pit. He uses hickory wood and calls it the "Grillvette." He and his team have won around $125,000 in competition since 2005. His favorite BBQ category to cook is either chicken or ribs, but if he had to choose one it would be chicken. His favorite meal other than BBQ is a steak, caesar salad, and a "chewy" red wine.
He says that too many people over smoke their BBQ and that this can be prevented by running a clean fire and by wrapping the meat with aluminum foil after it has a nice color.
