"Turn: Washington's Spies" Season 3 has been ordered and will return in 2016.

"Turn: Washington's Spies" (TV show) on AMC is a drama series, formerly known as simply "Turn," that is based on the book "Washington's Spies," written by Alexander Rose.

A character-driven drama set in the summer of 1778 during the Revolutionary War, this series takes us behind the battlefront, to a shadow war fought by everyday heroes who vowed to keep their heroics a secret. The series centers on Abe Woodhull, a farmer living in British-occupied Long Island, who bands together with a disparate group of childhood friends to form the Culper Ring. Together they risked their lives and honor, and turned against family and King, for a fight they believed in passionately, ultimately helping George Washington turn the tide of the Revolutionary War in favor of the rebels. Their daring efforts also revolutionized the art of espionage, giving birth to modern tradecraft as we know it today, along with all of the moral complexity that entails

The cast includes Jamie Bell ("Billy Elliot," "King Kong," "The Adventures of Tintin") as Abraham Woodhull, Seth Numrich ("The Good Wife") as Ben Talmadge, Daniel Henshall ("The Snowtown Murders") as Caleb Brewster, Heather Lind ("Boardwalk Empire") as Anna Strong, Kevin McNally ("Pirates of the Caribbean: on Stranger Tides") as Judge Richard Woodhull, Meegan Warner as Mary Woodhull, Burn Gorman ("The Dark Knight Rises") as Major Hewlett, Angus MacFadyen ("Braveheart") as Robert Rogers, JJ Feild ("Captain America: The First Avenger") as Major John Andre, and Samuel Roukin as Captain Simcoe.

Season 2

Season 2 moves deeper into the battles waged by soldiers and civilians alike in the pursuit of freedom, and the sacrifices they're willing to make to secure it. As Abe becomes more committed to the Culper Ring activities, George Washington (Ian Kahn) battles both personal demons and betrayal from within his ranks that threaten not only his leadership but the fate of the revolution. As the colonies struggle to become a nation, the outcome of the revolution will hinge on alliances both on and off the battlefield. Joining the cast for Season 2 are Ksenia Solo as Peggy Shippen and Owain Yeoman as Benedict Arnold.

From AMC Studios, "Turn" was developed and written by Craig Silverstein ("Nikita") who also serves as series showrunner. The pilot was directed by Rupert Wyatt ("Rise of the Planet of the Apes"). Barry Josephson ("Bones," "Enchanted") from Josephson Entertainment is executive producer.
