Tyler James Williams stars in NBC's comedy "Go On" as Owen.

Williams also recently starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie "Let It Shine," as Cyrus DeBarge, a gifted rapper full of self-doubt. Williams can be seen next in Tyler Perry's film, "We the Peeples."

Tyler James Williams is perhaps best known for starring as Chris, a responsible, resilient 14-year-old struggling to keep his siblings in line at home while dealing with the ups-and-downs of a being a teenager, in The CW's Emmy and NAACP Image Award-winning series, "Everybody Hates Chris," inspired by the childhood experiences of comedian Chris Rock. For his work, Williams won the 2007 NAACP Image Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series.

Williams began his acting career at the age of 4 on "Sesame Street," appearing as a series regular for several years. Later, he co-starred in Bill Cosby's animated series "Little Bill," where he voiced the character of Bobby. His other television credits include numerous appearances in comedic skits on "Saturday Night Live." Williams more recently appeared in an episode of "Law & Order: SVU" titled "Parts" as Kyle McGovern, a child in need of a liver transplant. In addition, he has appeared in dozens of commercials, most recently for Corvette and Fruit by the Foot.

In 2006, Williams starred alongside Wilmer Valderrama in "Unaccompanied Minors," a feature film about a group of kids who bond while snowed in at an airport the day after Christmas. He also lends his voice to the feature films "Everyone's Hero" and "The Ant Bully."

In his free time, Williams enjoys playing basketball and watching his favorite team, the Miami Heat. He also plays the drums and guitar.

Born October 9 in New York, Williams currently resides in Los Angeles with his mom, dad, and brothers Tylen and Tyrel, and their Silky Terrier, Benny "Ruff-Neck" Williams.
