"Web of Lies" (TV show) is a reality series on Investigation Discovery.

In a 21st-century world, we're increasingly living our lives online, sharing everything in one quick click from vacation photos and observances of daily life to breaking news stories and expressions of our deepest insecurities. It's easy to ignore or forget the millions of people who suddenly have access to your life online, but behind the clever screen names and witty captions hides a dark digital world with real dangers
and risks. This series unravels tragic stories of deception and manipulation triggered by online interactions. From predators lurking behind their Facebook profiles to creeps scouring chat rooms for their next victim, this series is back for a second season with even more jaw-dropping, cautionary tales of deception, seduction, and violence.

Each episode features one true crime story interlaced with expert commentary from local authorities, true-crime experts, and psychologists, as well as first person accounts from friends and families of the victims.

"Web of Lies" is produced by Blast! Films with Edmund Coulthard and Nick Cory-Wright serving as executive producers. For Investigation Discovery, Eugenie Vink is the executive producer, Sara Kozak is senior vice president of production, Kevin Bennett is general manager and Henry Schleiff is Group President.
